  ABOUT

University Enterprise Laboratories -- fondly referred to as "UEL" -- is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established in 2004 to provide and manage a facility with lab, office space and supportive programming for early-stage life science companies.  The UEL facility sits almost exactly on the border between the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, with its footprint barely inside the boundary of Minnesota's capital city.

UEL is not part of nor is it governed by the University of Minnesota. Rather, the word "university" is a sincere nod to the importance of strong relationships with the region's colleges and universities for innovation and growth. UEL encourages close work with core research facilities within the University of Minnesota on both of its Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses, but also with individual researchers, departments, and research facilities within the region's many other quality colleges and universities, as well, to enhance tenant clients' likelihood of success.

UEL is staffed by an Executive Director and its facilities are managed on-site by the Tapestry Property Management Company based in Bloomington, Minn.  UEL's full professional team is dedicated to providing high-quality services, facilities, and programming and is always available to UEL tenant clients.
